BEVERLY HILLS, March 17, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has publicly disagreed with his father, Veteran actor, Pete Edochie concerning the controversial issue which is about whose name to register a car gift for a married woman.
THEWILL writes that Pete Edochie in a video had stated that the car gift bought for a woman should be in the name of the son-in-law.
“If you’re a man and you have a lot of money. Your daughter is getting married and you want to buy a car, fine. Buy a car as a present for the new family, register that car in name of your son-in-law, you are encouraging that marital relationship to last, register the car in the name of your daughter, you break up that relationship before too long. Quote me,” the veteran actor had said.
However, Yul Edochie, disagreed with his father’s opinion as he took to his Instagram account saying that he would register the car in the name of whomever his daughter chose; and that if she wanted it in her name, he was going to register it in her name.
Yul Edochie said: “Of course, Chief is entitled to his opinion. @peteedochie.
“And back then their ways were different. For me, if I buy a car for my daughter @danielleyuledochie as a wedding gift, I’ll give it to her to register in whatever name she likes. If she asks me to do the registration for her then I’ll register it in HER name.”
