Ten Hag Urges Rashford To Extend Stay At Man Utd

January 25, (THEWILL) – Erik ten Hag, coach of Manchester United, has called on Marcus Rashford, to extend his stay at the club as they aim to become the best team in global football.

The Red Devils recently activated an option in Rashford’s contract, which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2024. The forward is enjoying a standout season for United and has been a key player in Ten Hag’s rebuilding efforts.

When asked about negotiations with Rashford’s camp ahead of United’s Carabao Cup semi-final match against Nottingham Forest, Ten Hag stated his vision for the club, saying: “We want to build the best team, first in England, then Europe, and ultimately, in the world. Marcus brings unique qualities to the team, and we can help him excel and score goals. The team is constructed to highlight his strengths and he knows he is vital to our success.”

Ten Hag acknowledged that Rashford recognises Manchester United as his club and that he is playing his best football with the team. He said: “He is improving and giving his all. He has a solid plan and in this team, he can fully showcase his abilities. We will support him to be in the best position to score goals, which he does exceptionally well.”

The coach concluded by emphasising that Rashford’s importance to the team cannot be overstated and that his presence is crucial for the club to achieve its goals.
