November 22, (THEWILL) – Akintayo John Faniran, simply known as Tayo, the first runner-up of season 9 of Big Brother Africa reality show has called out ONE campign organizers for failing to redeem their promise seven years after the show ended.
The actor cum model who participated in the reality show in 2014 was announced the winner of the $100 prize of ONE campaign for that year. He was also promised an ambassadorial deal by the organizers but all the promises and prize money were not redeemed by the organisers.
According to the actor, the organizers used Dbanj to play him because he loves the artiste but they still didn’t fulfill their part of the bargain.
He stated that calling out people who have wronged him is part of his healing process. Adding that his life was disorganized by the series of challenges he faced after the competition.
He stressed that ONE campaign, a non-partisan campaign, was meant to fight for and help people but they let him down when he needed them the most. He further stated that if he was given what he was promised, there was a possibility of him getting a bit of relief from the fact that he was cheated of the winning title during the reality show.
ONE campaign is a global movement campaigning to end extreme poverty and preventable diseases by 2030, so that everyone can live a life of dignity and opportunity.
