Tailor To Sweep Court Premises For Stealing Milo

BEVERLY HILLS, March 03, (THEWILL) – A Karu Grade I Area Court in Abuja on Wednesday, ordered a 25-year-old tailor, Yesmin Abdullahi, found guilty of stealing, to sweep its premises for two weeks.

Pleading for leniency, Abdullahi pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and theft of a pack of Milo and chocolate malt beverages.

The presiding Judge, Inuwa Maiwada, did not give Abdullahi an option of a fine.

Maiwada warned him to desist from committing crimes.

Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Vincent Osuji, told the court that the complainant reported the matter at the Karu Police Station on February 10.

He said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 348 and 288 of the Penal Code.
