September 25, (THEWILL) – The Special Adviser to the Cross River State government on Cocoa Development and Control, Ntufam, Dr. Oscar Ofuka, says the synergy between government and individuals will sustain public industries in the state.

Dr. Ofuka disclosed this in Calabar, after receiving a fellowship award from the Institute Of Corporate Administration during its 2022 Strategy and Kick-Off Conference.

This year’s conference had a theme: Appreciating Technology Trends in the new work environment.

In his words, “The synergy between the government and private persons will go a long way to sustain the industries.

“That’s one of the best choices of the governor, if the industries are left in the hands of government alone, they will become shadows of themselves in the next few months.

“Cross River State is a civil service state, a state where the IGR is poor, building industries across the state and allowing public-private participation will ensure we bring the state to its former glory”, Dr. Ofuka said.

He appreciated the institute for appreciating what he has been doing in the cocoa sector of Cross River State and also his contributions to societal development.

He dedicated his award to the state governor, Professor Ben Ayade for giving him the opportunity to do what he likes doing best.

Earlier, Gabrial Osang, the guest lecturer and Director of Academic Affairs in the University of Calabar said the global system today needs professionals.

Osang, whose lecture was titled: “Mastering the tools of administrative professionals in our current trend” emphasised that training administrators is critical to address today’s challenges and make the world a better place.

This year’s event drew participants from across the country and eleven persons were honoured for their contributions to the development of Cross River State and Nigeria.
