October 08, (THEWILL) – On November 9 in San Jose, the Super Eagles will take on the senior men’s national football of Costa Rica in an international friendly.
The three-time African champions were invited to the central American country as part of key events to send the Los Ticos to the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar, according to NFF’s FIFA Match Agent Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport on Thursday.
The game is slated to begin at 8 PM in Costa Rica, at the National Stadium in San Jose, according to information obtained by the Nigerian Football Federation.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup was held in Costa Rica this year, and Nigeria’s Falconets advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating France, Korea Republic, and Canada in the group round.
On November 17, the Super Eagles will play Portugal in Lisbon in another high-profile friendly.
