October 24, (THEWILL) – The President of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, on Monday debunked claims that he chased relatives of the policemen killed in his convoy out of his home.

It was earlier reported that the attack on Suleman’s convoy in Edo State on Friday led to the death of three policemen, two drivers and two others.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Suleiman stated that some netizens claimed that the families of the slain policemen came to his home and were chased away.

He further stated that nothing of such happened, as he worried over the lies that were told against him.

Suleman told his supporters to expect more of such lies as he knocked the rumour mongers.

The cleric said, “I was just told that some social media platforms said that some families of the slain policemen came to my house and they were chased away.

“My worry is the confidence with which people lie. Nothing of such happened. Expect more of their lies. It’s their source of livelihood.”

It was gathered that during the attack on Friday, youths and members of a vigilance group in the state arrested one of the suspects alive and handed him over to the Divisional Police Officer in Auchi, Ayodele Suleiman, who allegedly shot the suspect dead.

Earlier, the cleric, in his reaction to the 42-second video clip showing the suspect’s corpse in a vehicle, slammed the police, as he alleged that it was an attempt to cover up traces that could lead to those behind the attack.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has condemned the attack and called on the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators.
