January 08, (THEWILL) – Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, has reportedly led to the termination of Cameroonian international, Vincent Aboubakar’s contract.

It was bound to happen as Aboubakar was considered surplus to requirements as Saudi Arabian clubs are only allowed to have eight foreign players on their roster. This led Al Nassr to decide to let Aboubakar go. The 30-year-old had played 39 games for Al Nassr, scoring 13 goals.

Aboubakar, who was a key player for Cameroon at the 2022 World Cup, is now back on the transfer market, with rumours swirling about where he may end up. Some Turkish outlets suggest he could join Fenerbahce, while others in the English press believe he could end up at Manchester United.

It would be a strange twist of fate if Aboubakar did end up at Manchester United, as Ronaldo’s departure from the Old Trafford club opened up a spot in their attack lineup that Aboubakar could potentially fill in this football transfer game of musical chairs.
