BEVERLY HILLS, May 19, (THEWILL) – Nollywood filmmaker Seun Egbegbe, the estranged lover of actress Toyin Aimakhu has signed an undertaking to never disturb the actress again.

This comes after their messy and very public spat after which Egbegebe granted an interview with GoldmyneTV, where he threatened to ruin Aimakhu’s career.

He also granted an interview with Encomium where he stated:

“Toyin Aimakhu’s career is finished as far as Yoruba movie sector is concerned, unless she corrects the erroneous impression she has given the public about my person. How can a person l call my girl friend accuse me of kidnapping her? What does she want to gain from that? And she said her personal assistant typed the message. If that’s true, where was she? And when she noticed it, why didn’t she withdraw it immediately before the whole thing went viral? So, I believe she has something hidden.

“I am repeating it, no producer must deal with her again. Any producer that doesn’t heed the warning will find him or herself to blame. It’s not a threat, it’s a promise.”

This threat prompted Toyin to report the movie marketer to Lagos Sate Commisioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni. According to reports, he was arrested two weeks ago, detained and later released on bail in respect of his threat message. He was told to report when Toyin Aimakhu who had been out of the country for a while, returns.

Upon her return, Toyin who was at the station in company of her lawyer, Bosun Osifowora stated that Seun Egbegbe’s threat has affected her business and colleagues and producers are afraid to call her for movie shoots because of the threat since they were aware of his violent nature.

While at the Commissioner of Police’ office, Seun reportedly recounted his position, prostrated and signed an undertaking never to hurt or disturb Toyin whether privately or in company of people.

He also undertook to make a new video to that effect with Goldmyne TV where the initial threat video which went viral was broadcast.

He is also to report fortnightly at the CP’s office in Ikeja and he has been placed under watch.

He also publicly apologized on social media to the actress. He wrote: “I hereby regret any inconveniences I might have caused Toyin Aimakhu. She’s is an A-list actress, anyone who wants to do business with her should deal with her as a celebrated artist”

Toyin Aimakhu is set to officially start a new reality show and an NGO on domestic violence against women.
