November 15, (THEWILL) – Ozonna Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has distanced himself from his father’s controversial speech about the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi.
Soludo had declared that Obi would not win the 2023 election.
In an article on Monday, titled, “History Beckons and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1)”, Soludo said: “Let’s be clear, Peter Obi knows that he can’t and won’t win. He knows the game he is playing, and we know too, and he knows that we know.”
Soludo said that there are two political parties seriously contesting for the presidency, the rest are exciting dramas.
He added that one of two candidates would emerge as Nigeria’s president in 2023.
After being challenged because of his father’s utterance, the music artiste made a post on Facebook and distanced himself from his father’s speech. He also added that he thinks Obi is the best candidate.
“I would appreciate not being dragged into this. I am not an extension of anybody, I have my own opinion and I have always said I think Peter Obi is the best candidate. All this had nothing to do with me”, he wrote.
