May 26, (THEWILL) – Recently-appointed Super Eagles’ coach, Jose Peseiro, met with his Nigerian assistants, including Finidi George, Salisu Yusuf, Usman Abdallah, and Ike Shorunmu, ahead of the Super Eagles’ friendly against Mexico and Ecuador.
Also present at the meeting in the United States was team match analyst Eboboritse Uwejamomere.
It was an opportunity for the coach to meet with thirteen of the invited players already in camp together with Peseiro’s backroom staff, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo.
Among the 30 players invited, Adewale Adeyinka, Ojo Olorunleke, Chiamaka Madu, Rafiu Ishaq, Victor Mbaoma, Ibrahim Buhari, Sanni Faisal, Bello, William Troost-Ekong, Moses Simon, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, and Babatunde Bello are among the Super Eagles players at camp thus far.
Seventeen players are slated to join the squad in the United States, where they will trade tackles with the World Cup-bound South and North American teams they are slated to meet.
