Nice Bid Improved Offer For Lorient’s Moffi Amidst Interest From West Ham

January 21, (THEWILL) – French Ligue 1 side, OGC Nice, is at the forefront of the race to sign Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi, during the January transfer window.
Les Aiglons have reportedly made an improved offer of €20m for the Lorient striker, who has been in impressive form this season with 12 goals in 18 Ligue 1 games. This offer is said to include €17m paid upfront and €3m worth of bonuses. It comes after previous offers of €15m and €18m were rejected by Lorient.
Moffi has elevated his performance levels to become a key player for the Brittany-based club since his arrival two years ago for a fee of €8m. In that time, he has scored 35 goals in 90 games and has established himself as one of the most promising young strikers in the league.

The Nigerian is keen to stay in France and Nice is said to be his preferred destination. The 22-year-old is currently the joint top scorer in Ligue 1, just one goal behind Paris Saint-Germain star and 2022 World Cup golden boot winner Kylian Mbappe.
Meanwhile, English Premier League side West Ham United has also submitted a bid worth £20m for Moffi, rising to £25m in potential add-ons. A lot of change is going on at present in West Ham’s forward line, with Danny Ings joining the Hammers from Aston Villa and Michail Antonio linked with interest from both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
