BEVERLY HILLS, September 24, (THEWILL) – AC Milan says start striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for the deadly COVID-19.

According to Italian publication, Corriere della Sera, only the Swedish striker tested positive for the virus after teammates were tested.

“AC Milan announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for the swab performed for today’s match, Milan-Bodø/Glimt, a statement from the publication read.

“We have informed the competent health authorities and the player was promptly placed in-home quarantine.

“All the other swabs carried out on the team group were negative.”

AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, will have to find a way to deal with the absence of Ibrahimovic as the club clashes with Bodo/Glimt in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
