June 29, (THEWILL) – The Youth Advocacy Initiative (YAI) has congratulated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on what it described as his outstanding performance in office for another year, saying that his second anniversary was a success story.
The group, in a statement made available to the media in Lagos by its Convener, Comrade Adekunle Akinde, said the Governor deserved commendation for his excellent performance in his second year in office, stating that, his body language is a testimony that he is walking his talk in tandem with his electioneering promises in 2019 prior to the election.
The statement said it has taken a critical look at the Governor’s performance two years on the saddle and declared it a success story, saying, his achievements in all sectors of the economy have given him a passmark.
The statement further congratulated the people of Lagos State on their foresight to give a candidate like Sanwo-Olu their mandate to be the state Governor, saying, “They need to thank God immensely for directing them to the right choice that is now giving them the required dividends of democracy.
“Sanwo-Olu has assertively convinced even all the doubting Thomases that he is a blessing to the good people of Lagos through his achievements within two years in office.”
While enumerating the Governor’s performance across all the state’s sectors of the economy, the group mentioned how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic that ravaged the whole world, his reforms in the transportation sector, Infrastructural developments and security of lives and property.
It added that his donation of crime-fighting vehicles and gadgets recently had given him a pass mark on efforts to revitalise the state’s security architecture.
The organization therefore stressed the need for the people to continue to give his administration more support, cooperation and encouragement to prompt it to forge ahead to do more, reminding that, improvement has the largest room in the world.
The Governor and his team are also admonished not to relent in their efforts at doing more, hinting him that, “The good people of Lagos would always play ‘Oliver Twist’ by asking for more dividends of democracy.”
The organization observed that, with required support and needed cooperation and assistance, “Sanwo-Olu appears as an administrator that will never disappoint his people,” adding that, “The workaholic man, no doubt, has more up his sleeves for his people and therefore needs to be supported and encouraged.”
