BEVERLY HILLS, October 15, (THEWILL) – Nigerian artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly called Wizkid has slammed fellow singer, Reekado Banks, for trying to release an ‘old song’ they recorded together during this period.
It all started when Banks took to his Twitter handle to announce that the song he recorded with Wizkid would soon be released.
He wrote: “Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” midnight dropping. Still on the matter!!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality.”
Wizkid who appeared irritated by this development stated that it isn’t time yet for the song to be released since the country is grappling with nationwide protests against police brutality and extra-judicial killings.
Wizkid wrote: “Delete this dude! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old song! #endsars fool!”
THEWILL had earlier reported that Wizkid had cancelled his album launch due to the protests.
