June 15, (THEWILL) – Hollywood actor, Will Smith, is making moves to stage a comeback to the big screen, following the incident of the slap he gave Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in March.
The 53-year-old actor is said to be self-producing a sequel to his 2007 I Am Legend 2 movie, according to the Jasmine Brand.
The actor is said to be attached to the project, though Warner Brothers is yet to sign off the concept.
The movie is set to be produced by Smith’s own production company, Westbrook Media, and it will see him reprise his role as virologist, Robert Neville.
Since assaulting Chris Rock on stage at the 94th Academy Awards, the actor’s career took a turn for the worse. He received a ten year ban from the Academy and some of his projects were delayed or even cancelled.
