SAN FRANCISCO, March 13, (THEWILL) – Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State says he will submit the white paper on the report by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry that investigated the killings and other acts of violence that took place in the state during the December 10, 2016 rerun elections to the Police for necessary action.

Stating that he is aware that the current Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris would not act on the report, the Governor expressed faith that the police as an institution would eventually perform its constitutional role as the incumbent IGP would not be in office forever.

He stated this on Monday at Government House, Port Harcourt after receiving a report by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry from the Chairman of the Commission, Justice Chinwendu Nwogu.
