Wike Appoints Acting Chief Judge, Acting President Customary Court Of Appeal

BEVERLY HILLS, May 29, (THEWILL) – Minutes after his inauguration as Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has appointed the most senior High Court Judge in state, Justice Daisy Okocha as the State Acting Chief Judge.

The governor also announced the appointment of Justice Christy Gabriel-Nwankwo as the Acting President of the State Customary Court of Appeal.

The governor who made appointments while delivering his inauguration address in Port Harcourt on Friday assured the people of the state that his administration will uphold the rule of law and the separation of powers to deepen democracy in the state.

Wike and his deputy, Dr Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo were sworn in by the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice Kate Abiri.
