BEVERLY HILLS, January 27, (THEWILL) – Many users of WhatsApp, on Wednesday morning confused with the thought that their phones were either malfunctioning or their accounts compromised.

This is following the new development from the developers of American freeware, cross-platform centralized messaging app, Whatsapp.

However, the Mark Zuckerberg outfit will henceforth be part of subscribers’ status. Although they are yet to state the reason for this new development, it could offer them the opportunity of running adverts.

According to the status messages from the developers, the feature will be revealed later. To douse tension, Whatsapp said they won’t be interfering with the privacy of their users.

“One thing that isn’t new is our commitment to your privacy. Whatapp can’t read or listen to your personal conversation as they’re end-to-end encrypted. Stay tuned for more update”, part of the messages on the status graphics from the developers read.
