Watford’s Coronavirus Positive Player Identified

SAN FRANCISCO, May 24, (THEWILL) – Jamaican International and Watford defender, Adrian Mariappa, has been identified as the team’s player that tested positive for the coronavirus.

Two other members of staff and Ian Woan, assistant manager of Burnley also tested positive.

33-year-old Mariappa reacting to the news expressed shock because according to him, he had adhered to all the safety instructions.

He said: “Ever since I got my positive result back on Tuesday, I’ve been scratching my head to try to work out how I might have got coronavirus.

“It was a big surprise because I haven’t really left the house, apart from some exercise and the odd walk with the kids. I’ve mainly just been homeschooling and keeping fit.”
