August 23, (THEWILL) – Comedian, talk show host and motivational speaker, Teju Oyelakin, otherwise known as Teju Baby Face, has relocated to the United States of America, Texas precisely, in search of the proverbial greener pastures. Teju left Nigeria late last year with his wife and twin children. Not much is known about his real reason for relocating abroad, but it may not be unconnected with his inability to make headway with his career as a comedian in Nigeria, prompting him to embrace motivational speaking and hosting a now rested talk show. Despite the success he recorded with The Teju Baby Face Talk Show, what with the number of high profile individuals who came as guests on the show, it allegedly became increasingly difficult to get sponsorship to keep it on air.
Teju, who also authored a book entitled, The Secrets of the Streets, gets busy in the United States pep-talking his over 200,000 followers on Instagram. He has also made efforts to revive his comedy career and recently hosted his debut comedy show in the US in collaboration with a Texas-based restaurant.
