As the first event at the 21st National Sports Festival, the cycling competition was decided at the Stephen Keshi Stadium prior to the opening ceremony and having won the most medals at the Edo 2020 festival in Benin City, Team Delta is the festival’s reigning champion.

They are the most dominant team in recent times. Of the nine times Team Delta has participated in the NSF, they have finished at the top of the table for a record seven times. And if their win in the cycling event is anything to go by, they are on course to dominate again.
