BEVERLY HILLS, February 09, (THEWILL) – Stephanie Otobo, Canada based nightclub stripper and musician has fired her attorney, Festus Keyamo, as more drama continues to unfold in the unending saga.

Otobo had earlier alleged that Apostle Johnson Suleman, President and founder of Omega Fire Ministries based in Auchi, Edo State, was her secret lover who promised her marriage and breached the promise to marry.

The saga which broke in March of 2017 saw Apostle Suleman firing back and suing Otobo and Sahara reporters for one billion Naira each for libel at the Ikeja high court in Lagos, Nigeria.

Led by her attorney Festus Keyamo, the lady continued to insist that indeed an illicit affair took place between her and the fiery preacher and went on to release several videos in the process.

After almost a year of accusations and counter-accusations, a video was released online on Saturday January 27th showing Otobo in Suleman’s church in Auchi, on Friday night of January 26th, to confess before the mammoth crowd that she was used by “some powerful politicians and men of God” to destroy the character and reputation of Apostle Suleman.

She knelt down before the wife of Apostle Suleman weeping profusely and pleading for forgiveness.

Aledeh.com reports that since her confession and plea for forgiveness, knowledgeable sources revealed that her attorney, Keyamo made frantic efforts, including email and text messages to disparage the confession.

Part of such desperate efforts was the video of July 2017 released by Sahara reporters television where Otobo claimed she was under pressure by Apostle Suleman to confess.

But immediately after the release of the old video, Otobo in her hideout believed to be in Lagos released another video to debunk Sahara reporters claim.

Otobo revealed that the said video, which was shot more than six months before her public confession at Apostle Suleman’s church, was one of the tactics her attorney and sponsors were using to goad her on the path of lies and falsehood.

She reiterated that her confession at Apostle Suleman”s church was true and voluntarily done to set her troubled mind free.

As if to strengthen her resolve to free her mind from her manipulators, Otobo has deposed to an Affidavit of Disclaimer, stating, that the statement of defence filed at Ikeja High Court, purportedly on her behalf by Keyamo was a ruse and a huge scam.

According to Otobo the statement and photographs exhibited by Keyamo in the court processes did not emanate from her.

She also claimed that she was invited to Keyamo’s chambers to sign a bundle of documents and when she asked what the bundle of documents were meant for, she was deceived and told they were to be sent to the Nigeria Police to release her phone handset seized from her in March 2017 when she was arrested by the Police for blackmail and extortion, following the complaint of Apostle Suleman.

Following Otobo’s affidavit of disclaimer, Keyamo Chambers quickly approached the Ikeja High Court, where the civil suit filed by Apostle Suleman against Otobo came up for hearing, seeking to withdraw as Otobo’s attorney.

In the said letter, Keyamo’s Chambers surprisingly admitted that they never knew any known address of Otobo, a lady they defended.

The matter has been adjourned to March 12th for the judge to decide whether to grant Keyamo’s request or not.

Aledeh adds that Apostle Suleman, through his attorney, has threatened to drag Mr Keyamo before the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee for his actions said to be inconsistent with section 1 of the Rules of Professional Conduct For Legal Practitioners 2007.
