SAN FRANCISCO, July 07, (THEWILL) – Amid calls by the electoral commission in Ghana for citizens to go out and register to vote, popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson appears to be urging people to stay at home to avoid contracting the deadly coronavirus.
She also cautioned people not to be too optimistic about the upcoming elections saying nothing would change as politicians do not care about the welfare of citizens.
“Politician: stay home, stay safe ~ people: ok ~ Politician: go out and register
~ people: ok ME: the politician doesn’t care about you, use your common sense this election won’t change anything in your life, joining crowded queues endangers your life,” she tweeted.
Her comment has generated mixed reactions with many wondering why she is not encouraging people to register and vote for John Dumelo, an actor, who is now a politician.
