They said the NNPCL should immediately review the TFP security contract to reflect justice and equity, as the Urhobo people are capable of securing the pipeline in their communities.

According to them, the Federal Government and NNPCL must make the whole pipeline surveillance package to be “operation secure your own area”, rather than allowing someone not from Urhobo host communities to handle the pipeline surveillance in the area.

The leaders continued that Urhobo host communities covered large area of the Trans-Forcados Pipeline and which is why the surveillance contract should be given to an Urhobo person.

They warned that the Federal Government and NNPCL must urgently do the needful to review and award the Urhobo section of Trans-Forcdos Pipeline to Urhobo indigene because Urhobo youths are agitating for employments.
