BEVERLY HILLS, May 14, (THEWILL) – Popular Nigerian singer, lanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, has broken his silence on rumours that he was diagnosed with throat cancer.
THEWILL recalls that on Wednesday, an online newspaper had reported that the musician was flown abroad to begin chemotherapy after he was diagnosed with throat cancer.
Amid the development, many Nigerians had taken to their social media accounts to wish the singer a quick recovery and others questioned the authenticity of the report.
However, reacting in an Instagram post, to commemorate this year’s Eid-al-Fitr on Thursday, the award-winning singer stated that he would speak of the circumstances surrounding his health in due course.
He, however, did not talk about if he was indeed diagnosed with throat cancer or not.
Also, the singer thanked those who have so far reached out to him.
“Eid Mubarak to my lovely Muslim brothers and sisters. May Almighty Allah accept our fast as an act of Ibadah. Instagram!!! This is not the one with ram…I must not ignore the massive show of love. Thank you all. I’ll tell you my story myself, it will be true then not false,” he wrote.
