December 08, (THEWILL) – Due to severe snow in Bergamo, UEFA has rescheduled Atalanta’s match against Villarreal until Thursday.

Due to the weather, kick-off was pushed back from 9 pm to 9:20 pm local time, although the snow continued to fall on the Gewiss Stadium. As a result, the match was rescheduled for tomorrow by English referee Anthony Taylor and the two team captains.

The time for the match on Thursday has yet to be determined. For the third year in a row, Atalanta requires a victory to advance to the Champions League last 16.

Both the home and away fans had packed the stadium in anticipation of the match, and the players praised the spectators who had travelled so far.

On Thursday, there will also be matches in the UEFA Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
