October 27, (THEWILL) – The number of fashion houses that have been disassociating itself from Kanye West over his anti Semitic rants increased by one.
On Wednesday, executives at Skechers USA Inc (SKX.N), a footwear and apparel for men, women and children, escorted Kanye West, aka Ye, out of its Los Angeles corporate office, after the controversial rapper and fashion designer showed up unannounced and uninvited, according to Reuters.
The footwear maker “has no intention of working with West”, it said in a statement.
Skechers’ comments comes a day after sportswear brand Adidas AG (ADSGn.DE), ended its partnership with West, following a series of antisemitic comments from him.
“We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech”, Skechers said.
Apparel company, Gap Inc (GPS.N), which terminated its tie-up with West in September, is also taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap products from its stores and shut down YeezyGap.com.
