Six Dead, Others Injured As Building Collapses In Lagos

SAN FRANCISCO, October 11, (THEWILL) – Six persons have died and five others severely injured after a building collapsed in the Obalende area of Lagos State on Sunday

A statement by the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu said the “building located at No. 60 Odo Street, Obalende, Eti-Osa, was under construction when it collapsed partially.”

The statement further explained that the “fatalities include one woman and five men. Five severely injured persons exhumed from the remains and transferred to hospital; ten casualties treated with minor injuries”

This comes just weeks after a three-storey building collapsed in the Ejigbo area of the state.
