SAN FRANCISCO, April 24, (THEWILL) – The Senate has postponed passage of the 2019 Appropriation Bill till Tuesday.

The lawmakers resolved to postpone the third reading of the bills as the details of some estimates had not been made available.

THEWILL recalls that the report by the Senate Committee on Appropriations on the national budget was billed for consideration at the plenary on Wednesday.

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, ordered Nelson Ayewoh, clerk of the upper legislative chamber, to make copies of the budget report available to the lawmakers by Monday ahead of the passage of the budget on Tuesday.

Saraki’s directive came on the heels of the absence of Danjuma Goje, chairman of the senate committee on appropriations, and Sunday Ogbuoji, his vice, at plenary on Wednesday.

“I have directed the clerk to make details of the budget available to everyone latest by Monday so that we will have the copy of the report when it is passed the next day,” the senate president said.
