Security Agents Halt ‘Revolution Now’ Protests

SAN FRANCISCO, August 05, (THEWILL) – Security agents have intercepted hundreds of ‘RevolutionNow’ protesters in Abuja and Lagos

In Abuja, reports say over 40 of the protesters who were coming from the Mararaba area of the city were arrested around the Unity Fountain.

A convoy of heavily-armed security personnel were seen patrolling the Unity Fountain and Transcorp Junction areas of the FCT.

In Lagos, the protesters who converged at the Ikeja ‘Under Bridge’ were intercepted by police, firing teargas to dispersed the group. ‘#RevolutionNow’ group had scheduled a protest for today in commemoration of the first anniversary of the ‘#RevolutionNow protest’ led by Omoyele Sowore.
