SAN FRANCISCO, June 6, (THEWILL) – The embattled Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II is in big trouble and could be deposed in the coming days by the Abdullahi Ganduje-led government of Kano State which is bent on sacking him for being openly partisan in the last governorship poll in the state.
Sanusi supported the candidate of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which lost to Ganduje of the ruling All Progressives Congress, PAC.
The government Thursday issued a query to the Emir over his indictment for misappropriating over N3bn belonging to the emirate.
THEWILL obtained a copy of the query, which sources said has been received by the Sanusi.
