Rivers People Will Reject Sole Administrator – Wike

BEVERLY HILLS, March 22, (THEWILL) – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has declared that Rivers will reject a Sole Administrator to govern the state because according to him the people voted “overwhelmingly for their preferred candidate on March 9, 2019.”

A statement by his spokesman, said 86 Political Parties conceded defeat to the Governor over the Rivers State Governorship Election during a solidarity visit to him at Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday.

“No matter how delayed, Rivers State will have an elected Governor. It is not the portion of Rivers State to have a sole administrator. Our people voted on March 9 and Rivers votes will count, ” he said.

Governor Wike said that when the PDP is declared winner, he will operate a government of unity.

Earlier, the Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Rivers State, Sir Precious Baridoo said that from results at their disposal from their polling agents, Governor Wike has won the Rivers State Governorship election.
