SAN FRANCISCO, January 12, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Jonathan said on Monday that he has received with sadness, news of the death of Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, the spiritual leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church.
President Jonathan in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, therefore extended heartfelt condolences to Prophet Fakeye’s family, members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and the Christian community in Nigeria on the demise of the man he described as the great servant of God.
According to the statement, “The President joins them in mourning the revered spiritual leader who greatly inspired and motivated his followers and other Nigerians with his vibrant elucidation of the Word of God as well as his exemplary lifestyle and moral conduct.
“President Jonathan prays that Almighty God will grant Prophet Fakeye’s soul eternal rest.
“He also prays that God Almighty will comfort members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, and place the mantle of the Church’s spiritual leadership on a worthy successor to the late Prophet Fakeye.”
