SAN FRANCISCO, January 02, (THEWILL) – The Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Moses Chikwe, and some other kidnapped victims have been rescued without ransom.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Imo state, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the report said the rescue was sequel to a sting operation by men of the Police Command in the state.
The Bishop was abducted on Sunday night, along with his driver, at the World Bank area of Owerri, the Imo State capital.
His kidnap drew condemnation from the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, which described it as the height of wickedness.
