October 31, (THEWILL) – Police in Ogun State have arrested two suspected armed robbers for allegedly stealing industrial batteries belonging to Crown Park Company.
The suspects, Edehikenna Stanley and Segun Tope, were arrested on October 30, 2021 following a distress call received at Onipanu divisional headquarters at about 3:00 a.m that robbers had invaded the company, located at Ota Industrial Estate, held the security men hostage, and stolen two batteries.
The police public relation officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed this to newsmen in a statement released in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Oyeyemi said that the DPO of the Onipanu division, CSP Bamidele job, upon getting the distress call, quickly mobilized his men and moved to the scene.
“On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums who have stolen two heavy industrial batteries took to flight, but they were hotly chased and two of them were apprehended” he added.
The police recovered two industrial batteries; a toy gun with which they used to instill fear in the mind of the security men, and two knives.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for investigation
