July 06, (THEWILL) – Paul Pogba is set to rejoin Serie A side Juventus for free and is likely to undergo his medical in Turin this weekend.
Pogba had been free to speak with other teams since January with barely six months to the end of his contract with Manchester United even though the World Cup winner’s options for his next stop always looked to be constrained because his on-field performances never really lived up to his record price tag from Juve to Old Trafford.
But, Juventus are enticed by the fact that they will be getting a free agent, who has Serie A football experience and a team that Pogba will fit nicely into. The Frenchman is expected to pass his physical in Turin this weekend, clearing the way for a summer move back to Juventus.
The 29-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the club after passing his medical and rejoining the team where he played for four years and built his reputation. Pogba declined what was reportedly a 3.5% raise in salary at United to run out his contract with the Red Devils and realise his dream move back to the Allianz Stadium.
