BEVERLY HILLS, March 09, (THEWILL) – The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has asserted that its peaceful South-South zonal congress further demonstrated its unity, focus and poise in the determination to galvanise Nigerians to rescue the nation from misrule.
In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party said the oneness of purpose that characterised the exercise further proved that PDP, under the current leadership, was one indivisible family, made up of patriots, whose only interest was the stability and development of Nigeria.
“The peaceful conduct of our South-South zonal congress, just like that of the South-East and North-East, has again shown the huge difference between the PDP and the fizzling All Progressives Congress (APC), whose congresses and other activities are always marred by violence, killings and horrible manipulations.
“The PDP congratulates its new South-South Zonal Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, for his emergence through a credible and transparent process at the congress.
“Our party urges all our leaders, critical stakeholders, teeming members and supporters in the South-South and indeed across the nation, to continue to work together in the collective quest to salvage our nation from the stranglehold of the deceptive, corrupt and incompetent APC.”
