Partizan Belgrade Rejected Offer From Almeria To Buy Off Nigerian Forward Sadiq

April 11, (THEWILL) – Milos Vazura, the Sporting Director of Partizan Belgrade, has revealed that the club has turned down Almeria’s offer to buy Umar Sadiq’s full rights.

THEWILL recalls that despite scoring 23 goals and providing 19 assists in 52 games for Partizan, Sadiq was permitted to move to Almeria for €5 million in 2020.

The Serbian giants, on the other hand, added many conditions in the contract, including 30 percent of the Nigerian striker’s sell-on rights, which may push the total value of the agreement to more than €9 million euros.

Some of those variables have already been paid for by Almeria, including €500,000 when he scored 25 goals for the Rojiblancos. In 73 games with the Spanish side, the Spezia Academy graduate has 38 goals and 17 assists.

When Sadiq makes his 75th appearance, La Union will pay another €500,000. Almeria has the option of buying 30 percent of Sadiq’s rights for €3 million or paying Partizan 40 percent of the profit gained on the Nigerian’s sale to another club.

Sadiq will not leave Almeria on the cheap, however, since he has a €60 million release clause. Villarreal and Benfica have both been linked with a €25 million move for the 25-year-old.

However, it has been revealed that Almeria offered Partizan €3 million to buy out their rights to Sadiq, but the Black-and-Whites have stated that any offer less than the aforementioned sum will be rejected.

Sporting Director Vazura confirmed this when he said: “It’s true, we rejected €2.5 million from Almería for Sadiq’s percentage. We will wait for the clause to be activated. We will not do anything in advance.”

On Monday night, Sadiq will make his 74th appearance for Almeria when they face Ponferradina at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.
