Oluwo Of Iwo Weds Kano Princess

March 19, (THEWILL) – The much anticipated royal wedding between Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi and his beautiful wife, Firdaus Abdullahi, has taken place.

The royal wedding took place on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the ancient city of Kano.

The wedding was held at the residence of Madakin Kano, with representatives of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Emir of Kano, among other dignitaries who attended the event.

Babafemi Ojudu, a presidential aide on political matters, represented the vice president at the event.

Mahmoud Sani, a relative of the bride, stood as the bride’s trustee, while Babalaje of Iwoland, Ismail Kudaisi, served as the groom’s trustee.

Mr Kudaisi announced the payment of 1million for bride price, after which both trustees announced the consent of the union.

Ahead of the ceremony, the Oluwo of Iwo unveiled his beautiful bride. He posted pictures of the princess on his Instagram handle and wrote

“We belong together and it starts now with my soul mate that I finally found.”
