April 27, (THEWILL) – The Forum of the All Progressives Congress Chairmen in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State, has endorsed the incumbent Chairman of Ohaukwu local government area, Hon. Barr. Clement Omenkannaya Odah, to contest the 2023 general election for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu federal constituency.
The Forum, in a resolution reached at its meeting held at Ndulo, Ngbo on 27th, April 2022, also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Umahi and Rt Hon Francis Nwifuru, as the next Governor of Ebonyi State come 2023.
The chairmen appealed to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the spirit of equity and fairness to zone the position of the house of representatives to Effium political bloc.
The chairmen, who had earlier drumed support for the presidential and gubernatorial ambitions of His Excellency, Engineer David Nweze Umahi and Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, respectively, also gave their backing to Hon. Barrister Clement Omenkannaya Odah, to contest for Ohaukwu/Ebonyi federal constituency in 2023 general election.
They assured 100% support to the candidature of the governor for presidency 2023 and Rt Hon. Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Francis Nwifuru, for Governor come 2023.
The forum also noted in particular, the sterling leadership qualities and developmental strides, uncommon ingenuity and virtues of the Ohaukwu LGA Chairman, Barr. Clement Omekannaya Odah and after a careful deliberation of the political situation in Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency.
They, thereafter, adopted Barr. Clement Omekannaya Odah as sole candidate for Member, House of Representatives, Ebonyi/ Ohaukwu Federal Constituency come 2023.
The forum further resolved amongst other issues, to work tremendously to deliver all APC candidates in all positions in the 2023 general elections and urged the stakeholders to support the arrangements of zoning governorship position to Ebonyi North, Member, House of Representatives (Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency) to Effium extraction.
