January 14, (THEWILL) – As the next presidential election gradually approaches, three notable entertainers have advised Nigerians, most especially the youths to prepare and arise to fight for the change they so much desire.
According to them, the youths should be ready if truly they desire a change in the forth coming election.
Foremost disc jockey, Nonso Temisan Ajufo, also known as DJ Big N, revealed that only geriatrics are posing as candidates. He added that youths are also needed to contest for political offices.
He asked if youths are okay if the country remains the same way it has been for the next eight years. He concluded by saying that time is running out.
While expressing his own view, comic actor, Imeh Bishop Umoh, also known as Okon also charged the youths to arise.
According to him, it is the day the youths of this country are truly fed up with how bad things are in the country, that is the day men who think they own Nigeria as their private estate will fade away.
He added that if the energy of past protests and fights against injustices are not converted to uncompromising stance in effecting positive change on election day, then it will be very sad and very unfortunate.
Also, popular comedian, Okey Bakassi also added that it is only the youths who are educated and learned that don’t have PVC’s. As gateman, shoe shiners, onion and tomatoes sellers, bus drivers and conductors all have their PVC . But the youths try to justify why they don’t have theirs as they usually say that their votes doesn’t count.
He pleaded with the youths not to waste their education and exposures by making such statements. But, they should consider their parents who fed them and paid their fees through school and turn a new leaf.
He urged them to get their PVCS ready ahead of the next generation elections.
