June 25, (THEWILL) – Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Adedeji Aderemi, better known as “Olofa Ina,” has submitted that the sexual assault case involving his colleague, Olanrewaju James better known as “Baba Ijesha,” cannot cause division among theatre practitioners.

Olofa Ina disclosed this at the High Court in Ikeja where Baba Ijesha is standing trial for alleged sexual assault of a minor.

THEWILL writes that the case has caused acrimony between actor Yomi Fabiyi, a supporter of the accused, and actress Iyabo Ojo, who has been on the side of the comedienne Princess, the foster mother of the supposed victim.

Olofa Ina told journalists at the court premises: “It can’t cause a division.

“The issue here is that the youngsters of today didn’t participate in associations, they met fortune on the ground.

“Those of us who suffered before we could earn a living in the business of theatre won’t want a division in our midst.”
