No Animosity, As New England Patriots Celebrate Former Quarterback’s GOAT Status At Rival Club

BEVERLY HILLS, February 09, (THEWILL) – The Greater Boston professional American football team, the New England Patriots, have joined fans and teams to pay tribute to their former legend, Tom Brady, in the wake of his latest Super Bowl victory.

They did not mince words when they labelled the quarterback as the sport’s “Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).”

The 43-year-old quarterback, who made his remarkable 10th Super Bowl appearance in Sunday night’s final, helped steer his current team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to a comfortable 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LV on home soil.

It is a record-extending haul of Super Bowl titles by Brady.

The quarterback, who helped Tampa secure their first title since 2002, now has an unprecedented seven titles to his name, an impressive record on its own, as Brady alone has more titles than no less than 32 National Football League (NFL) franchises.

As a recognition of Brady’s unexampled achievements, his former team, the New England Patriots, went on their social media account to celebrate the champion.

This was heartwarming because six of Brady’s seven Super Bowl rings came throughout a glittering 19-year career with the Patriots, before he decided, in 2019, to seek fresh challenges with Tampa Bay.

There was a near-riotous stir when the move from Patriots to Tampa took place.

It went beyond even the confines of football to the sporting world in general that was familiar with the Brady brand.

Some attributed his exit to major divisions in the team, believing that Brady was not leaving amicably.

However, their heartfelt embrace of his win with Tampa proves there is no bad blood to be had.

After the Brady victory last night, the official Twitter account of the Patriots tweeted a simple yet classy message that was short and to the point: “Congratulations to the greatest of all time.”

They were simply sharing a common fact, which many NFL fans and pundits alike hold to be incontrovertible, irrespective of what teams they play for, support or dislike.

The reason is not far-fetched and Brady laid any other reasons to doubt his status as the greatest of all time to rest with Sunday’s victory in a team like Tampa and at the ripe old sporting age of 43.

The quarterback’s list of honours alone is the envy of most; and his most remarkable longevity is testament to his ability and dedication to go beyond the limits for the sake of excellence.

These are highlighted by the fact that Brady has been included in two different All-Decade teams (2000s and 2010s).

His legendary status does not leave room for mincing words.
