BEVERLY HILLS, May 14, (THEWILL) – French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain launched their new home shirt for the 2021/22 season, on Friday, that saw Les Parisiens continue a Jordan x PSG partnership, that is now in its fourth iteration.
However, this fourth edition brings in a unique inclusion as it will be the first to come with Nike brand’s iconic “Jumpman” logo, the silhouette of former Chicago Bulls NBA player and current Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan.

In true classic PSG style, the new jersey retains the nostalgic feel of the navy blue, red and white. In another break from more recent designs, it will be the first shirt since the 2009/10 season that the classic shirt will not spot the recognisable red ‘Hechter’ stripe on the front design.
What the design has going on for it that will draw fans is a blend of football and basketball-centred design language as the new kit takes unique inspiration from the famous Chicago Bulls jerseys of the 1990s that were worn by the legendary Jordan, himself.
As such, the entire revamp carries that legacy and uses the inspiration as a canvas for the balance that the true representation of PSG is only enhanced in the final product. It goes beyond the shirt itself because the diamond side panels on the shorts and red piping on the neck and sleeve cuffs bring ‘classic basketball iconography’ to the football pitch through the design.
In the release, PSG describes the collection as one that “pays homage to youth and its diversity, eclecticism and energy” with the wider range featuring various training and lifestyle wear, as well as Jordan shoes themselves.
It is clear that it targets the younger, upwardly mobile demographics of its fans but PSG fans of all age ranges will enjoy the look and feel and be proud to wear them.
