Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Spikes Past 9, 000 Mark

SAAN FRANCISCO, May 29, (THEWILL) – Nine thousand three hundred and two (9, 302) persons in Nigeria have now tested positive for the coronavirus after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, said 387 new cases were recorded Friday.

Two new deaths were also added to bring the tally nationwide to 261 with 2697 recoveries so far.

Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria, added 254 new cases followed by the FCT with 29. Jigawa posted 24, Edo 22, Oyo 15, Rivers 14, Kaduna 11, Borno 6, Kano 3, Plateau 2, Yobe 2, Gombe 2, Bauchi 2 and Ondo 1.
