Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise As Kano Sees Huge Spike In Infections, Lagos Records Zero

BEVERLY HILLS, APRIL 20, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s confirmed cases of COVID-19 has jumped to 665 with Kano recording a major jump in new cases with 23 infections of the total 38 new confirmed cases for Monday as reported by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.

This is the first time that Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria, did not top the daily count and did not even record a case.

Kano, the North-Western state, is Nigeria’s second most populous state after Lagos.

Gombe recorded 5, Kaduna 3, Borno 2, Abia 2, FCT 1, Sokoto 1 and Ekiti 1. So far, 188 previously infected persons have recovered while 22 deaths have been recorded.
