BEVERLY HILLS, August 10, (THEWILL) – Nigeria Monday reported 290 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus, the lowest in at least 8 weeks. The country, which still struggles with its testing capacity, has so far recorded 46, 867 cases nationwide with 33, 346 recoveries and 950 deaths.
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, said Lagos and Plateau recorded 82 new cases apiece, while Oyo added 19 and the FCT 18. See below for a full breakdown.
The NCDC says it has tested 319, 851 samples as at August 9, 2020. THEWILL reports that Nigeria has an estimated population of around 200 million people.
