Nigeria Records 555 New COVID-19 Cases, Deaths Drop

BEVERLY HILLS, July 26, (THEWILL) – Nigeria has reported 555 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus to bring the tally in the country to 40, 532 infections, with 17, 374 recoveries. The daily death rate dropped to 2 from a daily average of 12 recorded in the last few weeks to bring the total to 858.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, said Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, added 156 new cases while Kano posted 65 and Ogun 57. See below for a full breakdown.

The NCDC said it has tested 262, 579 samples as at July 25, 2020.
