BEVERLY HILLS, November 16, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian military Sunday said it has retaken Chibok, a town in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria, where over 200 schoolgirls were abducted by the terrorist group Boko Haram over five months ago.

The Boko Haram seized the town on Thursday after it was sacked from Mubi by a combined team made up of local hunters, vigilantes and soldiers.

Residents said they saw a large convoy of military trucks in the town.
